First Snowfall on Mt Seymour - November 15, 2016

On November 15, 2016, Mt Seymour received the first snowfall for the season 2016/2017. Predictions for this winter see a La Nina year for the West Coast lying ahead, which usually comes with colder weather than average.

North Vancouver, BC: Mt Seymour Resorts will be introducing a new smoke free policy for the 2016-17 season. The new policy prohibits guests and staff from smoking anywhere within the Mt Seymour Controlled Recreation Area, including lift lines, chairlifts, ski runs, snowshoe trails, parking lots, buildings and around the Base area.

Mt Seymour's 'Shred for the Cause', Vancouver's largest ski and snowboard charity fundraiser, has raised $17,777 this ski season for Powell Place and Springhouse, two women's shelters in the Downtown Eastside, operated by The Bloom Group. 'Shred for the Cause' ran for nine Mondays, from January 25 to March 28, offering women and girls evening skiing and snowboarding for $10, $5 of which went to The Bloom Group....
