Celebrate Easter with a special brunch buffet or dinner specials at Prairie Grass Cafe (601 Skokie Blvd.; Northbrook, IL; 847-205-4433) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 27. The buffet is $48 per adult and $18 per child age 10 and under.

Every guest will start with the signature "PGC Benedict," a poached egg with spinach and roasted tomato hollandaise.

The buffet will feature Prairie Grass Cafe favorites such as their Signature Moussaka with eggplant and braised lamb, Sautéed Tilapia with grapefruit and capers, and Ancho Marinated Skirt Steak.

Brunch classics will also be featured, with waffle, crêpe, and omelet stations available, as well as a dessert buffet.

Prairie Grass Cafe also will be open for regular dinner hours (5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) this Easter Sunday. Chefs Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris will feature two dinner specials: Braised Lamb Shank with polenta ($26) and Arctic Char served with lemon butter and crunchy spring slaw ($32). 

Brunch Buffet items will include: 
•    Mighty Vine Cherry Tomato Salad with Balsamic Reduction and ½ Wheel of Parmesan
•    Roasted Root Vegetable Salad with Pumpkin Seeds and Raisins
•    Mixed Green Salad (Pea Shoots, Arugula, Radicchio, Endive, Watercress) with Baby Peas
•    Deviled Farm Eggs 
•    Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Spread, Chives and Candied Red Onions – Pumpernickel Bread
•    Warm Lentil Ragout with Potato, “Capriole Farm” Goat Cheese, Fried Shallots
•    Our Signature Moussaka - Layers of Eggplant, Potato and Braised Lamb topped with Béchamel Sauce
•    Crispy Fried Chicken Thighs
•    Sautéed Tilapia with Grapefruit and Capers
•    Fresh Shrimp Cakes over Roasted Tomato Chutney;  Lemon Butter Sauce
•    Crispy Yukon Gold Potatoes with Spicy Aioli Sauce ( Boiled & Fried)
•    Roasted Tri-Color Cauliflower with Spicy Sauce and Bread Crumbs
•    Fennel Raisin Bread, French Baguettes, Multigrain Loaves, Warm Raisin Buns, Cheese and Jam Danish, Chocolate Croissants 
•    Applewood Smoked Maple Creek Farm Bacon / Ancho Breakfast Sausage
•    Carved-to-Order Bone-In Glazed Ham 
•    Ancho Marinated Skirt Steak
•     “Made to order” Omelet Station: Homemade Crumbled Maple Creek Farm Chorizo, Poblano Peppers, Spring Onions, Tomato, Jack cheese, Cheddar, Mushrooms and Spinach
•    Hot Fresh Waffle Station with Maple Syrup

The dessert buffet will include:

•    Fresh Sliced Ripe Fruit 
•    Platter of Berries
•    Crepe Station: Chocolate and Whipped Cream,  Raspberry Jam with Powdered Sugar
•    Double Chocolate Cup Cakes
•    Mom’s Homemade Banana Cream Pie
•    Warm Cherry Crumble with Toasted Oat Topping
