December 09, 2018 -- Fresh-faced New York beauty Brittany Saal is a new transplant to the Los Angeles Film/TV industry. Although she is young, she is already a seasoned model and commercial actor. She was featured in a Dior perfume commercial and just completed filming ads as the new face of the upcoming Maybelline Cosmetics campaign.

“I just love everything about Los Angeles - the people, the creativity, the industry” she says. While in New York, she was represented across the board in film, TV, and commercials by Take Three Talent and booked several notable roles including a role in Blue Bloods as the best friend of Tom Selleck’s daughter. Other shows she appeared on include “The Good Wife” and “The Black List.”

She cites the work of Leonardo DiCaprio as one of her main inspirations. Seeing his movie, “Catch Me if You Can,” cemented her desire to become an actress, so she enrolled in the famed Atlantic Acting school, which was founded by playwright David Mamet and William H. Macy. The intensive one-year program included improv and scene study. She was painfully shy growing up and she credits the Atlantic Acting School with her growth as an artist. While she frequently gets cast as the girl-next-door ingenue, Saal would love to broaden her character wheelhouse to play the more darker, edgier characters and appear in a series similar to “Riverdale.”

“I know it’s going to take hard work and determination, but I think if it is your passion, you just have to go for it.” she says. Her excitement about the the industry is infectious.

“Anything is possible,” she smiles. In a city of dreamers and doers, Saal fits right in.

Where are you from originally?
Originally, I'm from Long Island New York.

When did you come to Los Angeles?
I moved to Los Angeles almost ten months ago in March 2018.

What inspired you to be in the industry?
My inspiration to become an actor flourished as my love of film grew. I specifically remember watching the film, "Catch Me If You Can," starring Leonardo DiCaprio and it ignited a spark. I knew acting is what I was destined to do.

What are some of the projects that you have worked on in the past?
The projects I have worked on in the past include television work and a lot of print modeling. I have been on Blue Bloods, The Blacklist and The Good Wife, as well as many Penguin book covers. I've also shot a commercial with Dior Perfume.

What are your current projects?
I just finished shooting a Maybelline Commercial for their new line a few months ago.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
Five years from now, I see myself working on multiple projects including a television series and a motion picture. It would be a dream of mine to work alongside Tom Hanks!

How do you feel that the industry is changing?
I feel that there are many more opportunities for diverse actors because of the introduction on Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. There are more opportunities to giving newer actors their debut as opposed to A-list actors.

How does this benefit you as an actor?
The pool of opportunity is widened for unknown actors like myself to get that big break and launch a sustainable career.
